I had marks like these on my face and my dermatologist said they would fade in around 3-6 months time and would be gone in 12 months. He recommended getting as much sun exposure as possible to help speed up the fading process. However, the biggest healer will be time so you will just have to be patient with your skin :D

This isn't a scar, it's PIH or wounds post acne. For PIH the best treatment is V-beam, Excel V, IPL, or 1064nm laser. These only work on the red areas. You can read more on the top post called faq of the hyperpigmentaiton sub. Yes they do take a long time to heal.

Umm.. No. The opposite is true. Get as little sun exposure as possible and wear sunscreen 24/7 rain or shine. Sun exposure will make them WORSE. It's common sense, if you go out in the sun your skin gets darker.

Right i went to spain for two weeks just back now. Two weeks of sun healed the marks almost completely its awsome its gone from id say 80% noticable to 15% noticable in just two weeks. Before the two week holiday they were fading sooo slow im sure they would have been there for a year or two hope this helps
