Can/ Does coconut oil taken internally = breakouts?

Has anyone experienced increased breakouts--particularly nodulocystic ones--from eating coconut oil? I know that it rates a 4 on the comedogenic scale, so it can make skin break out, if used externally. But I'm wondering if it can have the same negative effect if taken internally?

Thank you,
PI

Can't say don't eat it regularly...I do know applying it broke me out olive oil too
sadly my skin is extremely dry sensitive from accutane

I've been wondering this same thing lately as I often cook with coconut oil. In the past when applied topically it broke me out horribly. Recently I tried oil pulling with coconut oil and ended up with 5 new zits for the first time in weeks. Once I stopped the acne healed. I still have not figured out completely if simply eating coconut oil breaks me out. Consuming a moderate or small amount does not seem to affect to my skin

I think it can, for some people at least. Nina and Randa (of youtube fame) can't eat any kind of oil or excess fat because it breaks them out horribly. I have tried eating their way (very low fat) and it didn't help. So I think in this instance people might have different tolerances.

It doesn't seem to break me out if applied topically though.
