I just had a revelation. I only get acne on clothed areas. I think the heat and the oil are the culprit.

My thighs are always in clothes. Even when I sleep, they are in shorts and under covers. My worst breakouts are on inner thighs. My back gets some breakouts too.

I plan to wash my clothes and sheets extremely often. Never will I re-wear clothes that haven't been washed.

any thoughts?????

Hi there!

It may be true for you, but for me: my worst acne is typically on my face, which is always unclothed. It's hard to rule anything out, though. If you sweat a lot, and your clothes get dirty, it could be one of the causes.

It's possible.. what kind of acne is it? I get a rash type of acne on my chest and tummy if I wear certain material and use fabric softener of any kind. I'd look at what your washing your clothes with and stick to fragrance free washes and one's suited for sensitive skin.

It's super important to sleep in whole fabric like 100% cotton or any other natural whole fabric, and have natural 100% bed linens too
i notice I can't sleep well, if I wear mixed fabric pajama
so most likely it's mixed/synthetic fabric that actually causes acne
