UGHHH where do I start. So I'm 20 years old and I've had acne since I was 12 years old. Ive never had severe acne but I've always gotten these huge cyst/nodules on my chin, I use to get them on my nose as well but now just my chin. I've never seen anyone else who gets these types of pimples, mine are massive. They've taken a tole on me mentally. I've tried birth control, which cleared my cheek and forehead acne but not my chin acne. I don't want to do anything that isn't a holistic approach. I'm depressed and desperate for help! Any advice is appreciate like supplements or vitamins I should take. I've taken vitex and it worked for 8 weeks clearing ALL my acne but then it returned:/ currently I've been breaking out all over my face, it's worse than it was in high school or middle school! PLEASE HELP!! I drink a lot of water eat healthy and have an organic skincare routine

OK I have advice but I'm not sure if you'll like it. Try blu-u treatment with levulan at the Derm's office. If you can't afford it (it's an out of pocket treatment), get on benzoyl peroxide based medication like duac and retinol at night like differin. If you're into short-term solutions that speed up the healing process, try antibiotics (only for a couple of months just to gain your confidence back- idk how bad you're feeling).
Creams will work in 2-3 months, as well as blu-u. Natural stuff takes even longer. If you really can't take your skin any longer go get some medications prescribed. The holistic approach is individual based, there's lots of trial and error, and nobody can tell you for sure what will work on you....

While you where on vitex is there any possibility u where also eating cleaner at that time? I think the problem is either hormonal or food sensitivity maybe both...I would deff go see about getting my hormones checked...my obgyn had a lot of good advice bc I couldn't find a specialist to do a salivia hormone check...they see a lot of hormone issues and could prolly help a lot if u can't find specialist like me...as far as vitamins I would do vitamin a, probiotic (20 billion strands approximately) cinnamon to regulate blood sugar, and I like tumeric supplement bc it's a powerful antioxidant. I would also
advise to stay away from white bread, cokes, sugary things, while u wait to go see a doc. Anyways sorry you dealing w this...it won't b forever tho don't loose hope!

Oh and milk thistle to help liver expel the toxins!

I am no doctor but I have researched hormonal acne like crazy when I was suffering with the it. Your liver is probably overloaded with hormones I would advise in a fiber supplement and probiotics asap to aid in digestion and detoxing. I like the fiber that dissolves in water you wont even notice it is pretty cheep at walmart. You also should also exfoliate to help with the congestion and clogged pores from the excess oil and dead skin cells. It is important to use a scrub that also has STRONG chemical exfoliants like glycolic or hydroxy acid (this is what my estitician told me) plus a very gritty sandy texture. The Dr Obagi vita scrub is expensive but great. Also naturally clear spray was extremelyeffective for me and a friend of mine who suffers from hormonal cystic acne. And you can get it on amazon for 14$ and its completely natural. It actually preventednew cysts from forming for me after 2 weeks of use. I have also had good results with NERD acne topical its pricey as well but it has a really good successrate amount customers and is the best topical I have found for healing giant cysts. I also used to use salicylic acid toning pads that are AT LEAST 2% salicylic acid this is important leave on your skin (use day and night) so it can continuously kill acne causing bacteria. To get the oil in check I would check out themario badescu glycolic cleanser. Warning you are only suppose to use this cleanser a few times a week because it is VERY drying but for extremely oily skin types this is a god send.I have wasted a lot of money on skin care products so I only recommendwhat gave me significant results. Also if your eating any soy stop immediatelysoy bean oil and soy protein are the absolute worst for hormonal acne!!!!! And if your taking large amounts of B vitamins that exceed the FDA daily percentages I would stop that as well as they can increase oil production significantly when taken in large doses. Biotin for example can cause really severe cysts. Also if you eat a lot of Kale maybe try stopping that as well. Kale gave me really bad breakouts not sure why. I am now 100% clear after cutting out all of the above and using an ongoing assortment of the products I mentioned.

Best of luck
