is it normal to be this late in a treatment without seeing any positive results? Any replies are greatly appreciated

Yes, it is still too soon to see the positive effects of a retinoid on acne. They say that it takes at least 12 weeks (or longer)to see noticeable improvement. It also does not surprise me that your acne is worse, this happens with retinoids, but for most people this gets better.My skin never cleared on Retin A (another retinoid), in fact it left me with orange peel texture/scarsthat I am trying toheal. Spiro is the only thing that has helped me.
A lot of people have great results from retinoids, I was just an unlucky one. Also, try to stay hopeful and keep your chin up. I know it is hard, but you are not alone. We are here with you.
