this companies feel no guilt about making money from potentially killing people and making their skin even worse so you need more creams and the loop goes on and on
why should consumers have to research every product on the market to find one which is just about acceptable. Blows my mind
Legitimate companies should be referring to and compliant with whatever legislation and guidance is relevant in your country on the formulation, labelling and sale of products and most companies will be doing this because they do want their products to be safe, effective and legal.
If you honestly think that a company is selling illegal or dangerous products then you should contact your relevant health regulatory body and provide them with the details of the company and product that you are concerned about.
Don't be confused by organisations that incite fear about products and ingredients. Look for legitimate agencies such as FDA, CIR, EMA, WHO, Health Canada, TGA, Medsafe to refer to.

So basically, in order for the products not to deteriorate over time they HAVe to have preservatives in it, all of which are acne-aggravating. So if you see something in a store that says "Oil Free" or something like that, then you are being duped. Preservatives are primarily oils and those oils are acne-aggravating.
Best bet is to look for a small batch topical acne product company. Their products will be more effective because they will have less crap diluting their potency.

From what I've read from various articles, US is actually the worst in policing their beauty products ingredients. So many health and beauty products from US are banned in other countries (Europe, Japan, etc). The FDA have no authority to tell the beauty industry what to and not to put in their product, it actually had to come from congress to ban certain ingredients. That's why so many of US beauty products still contain lead, paraben, and formaldehyde (remember Johnson's baby shampoo?) and no I'm not exaggerating, google it.
If you have any chance in the future, start noticing some cosmetic products sold in the US and compare them to the same products by the same brand that is sold in other countries.
Some people have also searching for connection of growing rate of infertility in US with the Cosmetic/skincare industry.
You can refer to the FDA website for information about cosmetics....cosmetic products don't undergo a pre-market approval like drugsbut there are regulations that apply to cosmeticsand these can be and are enforced if brought to the attention of FDA.

Products with any claim to treat acne/spots/blemishes in the US are OTC drugs and are also regulated but without pre-market approval.
Honestly- companies DON'T use harmful materials in their products. Such ingredients are strictly regulated. The issue is with random pseudo-scientists doing bad science and declaring all sorts of perfectly safe ingredients to be a threat (eg- parabens... nothing wrong with them, the study done on them doesn't even resemble good decent science), saying that there is something wrong with 'chemicals' and just going on 'gut feeling' such as 'silicones seem super chemically therefore they must be bad' when in fact they are among the most inert ingredients that you can put into a product!
Preservatives need to be used in order to give products ANY shelf life- not a 'long shelf life'...... products would go off in a matter of days without preservative.
There is a whole industry built on lies and fear-mongering, charging you $$$ for 'natural, safe products' , when they are nowhere near as cheap or effective as regular products (and no safer- natural materials can be highly toxic & irritant too..... Tea Tree Oil can only be used at up to 1% in cosmetic formulas because it is so highly irritant to many people)
