Hello Everyone
I am a 17 years old girl.I never had acne but because of medicines I used to take I got severe acne.Acne is gone now but I have red marks and a scar below my eyes. Its not deep but visible above the surface.I wanted to know if it can heal on its own or I have to take some medicines or any treatment.I am currently using an exfoliation cleanser,Vitamin d powder, and hyper pigmentation cream recommended by the doctor. It happened after pimple popped.Should I get demarolling or should I wait for sometime?

I start dermarolling in 2011 for scars, the results are amazing, the scars doesn't bother me, I enter this forum in the last 2-3 years rarely because acne scars are not a concern for me anymore. The results will appear after 1 year of dermarolling, DON'T GIVE UP and use dermaroller 1.5 mm or dermapen at 8 weeks.

I saw your picture from a few years ago. Can you show the extent of your improvement with another recent picture, I'm wondering if needling is indeed for me

Pics would be nice but I believe you got results. Seems like there are a few users that pop in here every now and then and recommend needling/tca combo treatment.

Ive needled twice in the last month and a half at 1.5 and if I continue to heal at this rate I am optimistic I should have good results in a year or so.

If your only concern is treating a single scar, dermarolling would not be necessary. Single needling or dermastamping would be cheaper and easier. That being said, I wouldn't be in a rush to treat it considering it is only 3 months old. Take care of your skin and continue to take pictures at certain intervals to see if it is improving.

If you have to take such an extreme closeup where each individual pore is visible and then point out your scar with three red circles, I doubt this is noticable from a social distance. Don't do anything stupid and make this worse.

I start with 1.5 mm dermaroller (192 not 512 needles) in 2011 at approximate 2 months apart. I used RetinA every day except 3 days after dermarolling from 20011 to 2014 (in my country RetinA it's not longer import). After 1 year I bought 2.0 mm dermaroller and 2.0 dermastamp and I used them together at 2-3 months apart. In 2014 I bought an electric dermapen 2.0 mm from ebay but I used only three times because acne scars don't bother me anymore and I stop follow this forum. Evey day I use a cream with Vit C and Vit A. The first results appeared only after 1 year and improve in time.

This is awesome. I wish I started dermarolling years ago. It's time to start.
Did you dermaroll yourself or did you hire a professional to do it?

Not trying to take away hope or be the bearer of bad news, but I showed these pictures to someone else and they think they could be photoshopped, especially the top photo (there is a big white circle under his eye). Again, this was not my observation, but now I'm starting to wonder.

The top four photos are made with Xiaomi Redmi1S, don't know how good is camera, I have DSLR for photos. The forum save photos compressing very hard and artifacts may appear in the image, don't know why " big white circle" appear, maybe it's a reflexion ?

What the hell nothing to hide, send friend request :)  [removed personal information]

I wasn't trying to poke holes in your story and I apologize if I offended you. But I had a legit concern/question about the picture. If needling worked for you and you are happy, then congrats and I hope it will work for me too.

It worked for me and I'm glad I never gave up after the first year in which I don't see any improvment. The patience is the key !

What cream do you use that has both vitamins? Seems like you also saw the best results from choosing a deeper needle length and spreading out your treatments a bit more, which makes total sense.

They dont look photoshopped to me. You can still see where the scars were though they are much lighter now.
