Hi guys i am on the 2nd day of my Accutane course. The dosage prescribed was 20 mg. I have read about the many horror stories of premature growth playe closure hence I am planning to go for a x ray to check my boneage before continuing this medication. However I am worried that the 40 mg of accutane i have consumed for the past two days would have taken effect in closing my growth plate and I would never know my boneage was the same before and after I took accutane. Hence what are your guys opinion on the effect of 2 days of accutane medication on growth plates, would it close my growth plate at such early stages?

But if you're after an internet response then I would say 2 days of accutane would of done next to nothing regarding your growth plate. It's a strong drug but it takes quite awhile before there are any major changes.
