I am thinking at the moment of taking a low dose of accutane. I have been prescribed accutane before (20mg for the first month and 50mg for 3 months), and my skin was amazing whilst on it, i think i got like 2 spots which went down pretty quick and was spot free for about 8 months. Spots then began to reappear and i was put back on Duac which i had used before and this has worked well for about 2 years, but it's slowly starting to not work, i don't know if my face is just getting too used to it but i'm now thinking of taking 2 10mg a week and see how i get on. I've brought it online so i know to get my blood done every 2 months and before i start, but i also have Isotrex gel, so i don't know which to try?

Thank you so much for sharing!!

Me too, potentially starting on low dose accutane...

I have had two course within the last 11 years, and I had great results from it but I still have white heads pop up.

My dermatologist suggest me taking 5mg daily for potentially 12-18 months.

I'm seriously considering it, because I think the side effects might be lower and can just clear up any acne that can pop up...

But since accutane, my skin has become quite sensitive, so trying different skin care can be a bit of trial and error as to whether I will react to it... What are people's experience with this?
