i did have initial breakout 🙂 The first two weeks wasn't so bad but on my third week my face started breaking out very badly as you could see in some of the pictures above. I also broke out in random places that I normally would never break out there. It lasted about 2 months for me. I started noticing "clear spots" on my face on the 3rd month. Those "clear spots" progressively spread to the rest of my face throughout the month and eventually my whole cheek became clear 😉

I think once you start using tretinoin, the pigmentation will slowly start disappearing beginning from day 1. In my case it just took 3 months to reallysee the result 🙂 not sure if hyperpigmentation fades away but I think once tretinoin exfoliates your skin, your hyperpigmentation can greatly be reduced, leaving you with new, fresh skin.
I use the Clindamycin Phosphate 0.1% topical solution and take doxycyline hyclate antibiotics 100mg 2 times/day. I use Neutrogena clear pore toner here and there but I think Tretinoin did all the work. I'm sure I could just use Tretinoin by itself and would still expect to see great result. For the pores I think once tretinoin clears your skin, it'll leave your pores small or at least unnoticeable!

I honestly did not do much but I did pop a few of my whiteheads. I made sure I didn't leave a lot of scarring. Most of my closed comedones dried up and i got rid of them by exfoliating. I did have some irritation but it lasted for avout a week or so 🙂

i tried 0.1% at the beginning !I didn't have any problems but it made my face very very red and my acne became more noticeable. I went back to 0.025% after a few days. I think 0.1% is a little strong for my skin that's all. hope everything works out for you with 0.1% 🙂 Tretinoin is a great product after all !

hii .. First of all ur skin looks amazing..
i have these bumps on my nose along with some enlarged pores which when pressed with comedone extractor expels sebum..are these clogged pores??? Do u think i can get rid of them using tretinoin ??? I have used paula's choice bha which caused all these to arise from deep inside but now i cant get rid of them..
do u think professional extraction or aha peel can get rid of them.. My nose was almost spot free and flawless but then this happened.. So upset..pls help me if u can...
Hii thank u so much for replying.. I also have enlarged pores on my nose whixh when i press with comedone extractor expels gunk!!!! Will tretinoin help with those gunk filled pores??? Plus my pores look huge using tretinoin??? Should moisturizing with a heavy moisturiser help with this issue??
I initially started using bha 2paula's choice for my enlarged pores..i used that for 2 months.. This resulted in all those small raised comedones(skin coloured) which i cant get rid of using Cosrx Aha 7 so i decided to give tretinoin 0.05% a shot..when i come out of shower if i press on my nose with an extractor,gunk comes out and i have done it few times which has made my pores look smaller though... Its been 3 days today that i am using tretinoin and my nose is peeling..not too much..i use bioderma moisturiser for my nose because it has become too dry from using bha liquid for months with a light moisturiser...
how long did it take for u to see results from tretinoin on pores???
I am worried about something that i have read on realself and also here - that retin a or tretinoin causes pores to enlarge and they look worse than before.. Too many reviews about that.. Is that true??? Just making me scared to use it cosistently..any idea why the pores look enlarged.
From what i understand when i used to apply bha liquid and wait my pores used to look large too.. But then i moisturise it looked okay not too large ,so could it be more about dehydrated skin rather than tretinoin itself???

Hey, hun. Just wondering, did you use the generic cream? How long have you been on Doxycycline, and when do you plan to stop taking it? Oh, this might sound weird, but do you fall asleep with your TV on? I do, so I've been wondering if that affects the Tretinoin. Hope your skin is still doing amazing!
