Hi,
I have had acne scars for many years. I tried Fraxel Laser Resurfacing years ago and it made no noticeable difference despite costing a small fortune. Have also tried a variety of peels. I would like to look into the possibility of:
- subscisions
-punch excisions
-TCA for ice pick scars and
- dermafillers
Can anyone suggest a surgeon in Sydney (or Newcastle or Central Coast areas) who has a lot of experience with this sort of work. I read on some other posts that dermatologists may not do as good a job and that makes sense to me.
Also if anyone can advise on who not to visit, I would be very grateful.

I'm a student in China and maybe I will continue my study in Sydney this year. I have the same trouble in acne scars. I learned that only laser is not effective from this forum, but it's not easy to find an experienced specialist who can do subcision, tca cross in China.
So if you get any latest information, please share it with me.

I believe Dr Shawn Richards, at Westmead and Dr Michelle Hunt at Rhodes are doctors to look into but I will let you know. There can be long wait-lists to see good doctors too. Anyone else, please let me know your thoughts.

Glad to get your post. I heard a hospital in Beijing offers subcision and plasma(a kind of laser), i wanna to have a try. If the treatment is useless, Sydney or Brisbane would be my final options. I will follow you and hope that you have a huge improvement.
