I know that people Use Ice compression and anti-inflammatory drugs as a way to PREVENT a deep pimple from swelling, but is that ALLit's good for? Or does it also help completely remove the pimple/cyst/bacteria altogether and not only possiblypost-pone what might be an inevitable pimple ?
Basically inflammation.
I can't reference any actual scientific documents but I have seen in some short "how does acne form" videos on youtube that often the pore underneath the skin can stretch by the swelling and rupture which can transfer the bacteria and whatever else is in the pore (keratin, lymph fluid) to the neighbouring pores and create more lesions.
Same way how people say picking spreads acne, but just occurs under the skin.
In some ways I think some inflammation is good (as long as it isn't selfinflicted) as more bloodflow, which ice would hinder, to that area in of the skin could promote healing.
