exfoliating sensitive skin while on differin

i'm peeling heavily from differin (it's my fourth month on it) and there is plenty of dead skin clogging my pores :/ some of it i am able to remove like a peel-off mask (from nose and forehead it goes off easily) but i don't know what to do about the rest of it. i have really sensitive skin and i can't use anything harsh for exfoliating like mandelic acid etc, scrubes and brushes are also not an option for me because even rubbing my face gently with a towel to get rid of that skin leaves it really irritated, red, burning and raw-ish or shiny, plastic-looking and the feeling is very unpleasant. there also seems to be a layer of white-ish skin when i'm done washing my face (i mean it can only be seen when the skin is damp), particularly on the cheeks, that looks like i could remove it but when i tried once i ended up bleeding... what the hell is that, should i just leave it? i was so happy differin kept my pores clean and now i need to do all the cleaning manually again :(

I have used Dermalogica's Gentle Cream Exfoliant. I usually go on Ebay and look for the sample packs, and can get several at a decent price. You just apply the cream like a mask, leave it on for 10-15 minutes, and then wash off with warm water. My skin feels so smooth after. I believe Ulta also sells Dermalogica's products.

ETA: Maybe dial back the Differin to every other day and let your skin repair? Also, are you using a good moisturizer?
