Has anyone here tried Tea Tree Oil to treat acne?

This is what I'm currently using: [Edited link out]

These are the articles that inspired me to use it: one, and two

And here is my progress:

Day 1: leftside.JPG.f5ed7bbd4068c81649c7d26906crightsideprogress.JPG.3618a07680e4e39b22
(The angle of the left side photo is different than the right to show the difference. For some reason, my acne is almost all on the left side.)

Day 2:leftsideday2.JPG.9278212d86a1c816bbd3f05rightsideday2.JPG.8f9e70bf52d9af02adb229
This looks probably like my best skin day in 2 years. No inflammation. Less redness. Still scaring and scabs, but much better.

Day 4:
(right now..)

This is what happens after just a little picking. These aren't as good quality pictures because its before work, and I'm in a rush- but stress has a big effect on me. No bragging or bitching, it just is. I pick my face constantly, and am lucky to have what I have. I may have backslid a little on progress because of it.

So tell me what you think, and if you've used Tea Tree oil before. For me, it seems to be working, and I have tried A LOT  of stuff- so I am pleased thus far. Also, if you have acne similar to mine, and can think of causes or suggestions- let me know!

Thanks for reading my first post :P

it looks like it is working for you! my favorite products are desert essence thoroughly clean face wash with awapuhi and burts bees blemish touch stick. Ive never had good luck with straight tea tree oil or mixing it in moisturizer. but the face wash is the best thing ive found with tea tree. seriously cleans out my pores. in the winter i use their thoroughly clean face wash for dry skin. they work really well.

if im gonna wear liquid makeup i mix a drop into it before i apply. it feels so tingly and cooling. I don't think it helps with big pimples on its own....sometimes ill mix a couple drops into a sulfur spot treatment before bed and that seems to be more effective.

Sometimes i mix tea tree oil with my cleanser and my moisturiser when im having bad days and it reduces redness and my large pimples. Wouldnt say the same about thesmell.

It really dries out my skin, but I can see it being an effective spot treatment.

Do you use it straight or mixed?

Always dilute 100% tea tree oil. or it will burn your face. And yes, tea tree oil is very common and treats acne.

I used it without diluting it and I had the worse allergic reaction ever! All my fave broke out in tiny bumps. It was horrible. I would suggest patch testing first
