So basically I will start Roaccutane in a few days, I'm 62 kg, 25yo. My acne used to be moderate to severe last year and now is mild to moderate and even though is much better now, is pretty lingering and I won't be able to correct my scars if I keep breaking out. My derm put me on 20mg/day and told me she doesn't really want to up my dose too much. Also told me that because my acne is not that bad, this dosage will suffice and I won't need to hit the 120mg/kg dosage, I will need something like 70% of that, if everything goes well. I asked her if this would keep the acne away once the course is over and she said yes, because again, my acne isn't that bad anymore. What do you guys think, is it possible to have good results with this dosage/cumulative dosage? Thank you.

Well it probably depends on how long time you are going to run the course. I had severe acne and was on 20 mg/day for one year. I have been clear (withoccasionally few spots now and then) for almost 2 years now.

Derm told me I need something like 66% of the cumulative dose - 120mg/kg, so that would be 8 months @20mg/daily. My acne is not severe anymore, is probably moderate at most, I made a log today with pictures.
