Recurrent Infections From Shaving

Hi all,

25 year old male here, been using an electric razor since I first started shaving back in my teens. I've noticed that I get a skin infection every year or two either on my upper or lower lip. I go to the doctor every time, get some mupirocin, and the infection is gone within a week. Does anyone have any shaving tips for electric users to help reduce the chance of getting a skin infection in my facial shaving areas? Do I need to disinfect my electric razor after every use or is there some product I can put on my lip area to help out?

Thanks a lot!

If you are experiencing no other ingrown hairs or razor burn continue with shaver. Use a manual Gillette razor to shave the upper lip. Manuals are a must if you want a clean bare lip. The irritation is also minimal.
