Hello, so I am currently at the PHI clinic in London with numbing cream on my face... The treatment will be performed by Dr Tapan Patel, the medical director of PHI clinic.

The staff and himself has been very re ensuring about the treatment but I can not help that I feel absolutely skeptical about this treatment... I have read a lot of good and bad results (have found nothing bad on this clinic yet) so I have no clue how my face will turn out to be...

For good or bad that is about to happen to me, it will be all on here... My emotions at this moment is on a roller coaster ride. Yikesssss, so nervous I feel like I want to pee myself.

So they said this treatment would take approximately 7-10 days to heal. My face would look it's worst... I'd most likely be looking like Freddy Krueger... SIGH!!!... They will be giving me a aftercare kit which contains antibiotics and er I forgot what else they told me but I will update this with the full information abit later on...

Dr Tapan Patel has already told me I will experience some breakout but he promise they will clear and he seems absolutely confident in himself... (Don't they all though?) lol.

My next post will contain before treatment and after treatment. Wish me luck and hope this goes well, that way maybe this experience can help others... Or maybe this experience could warn others about the Co2... Who knows...

Had a long painful day yesterday...

So the rating of pain for CO2 was about 6 out of 10. Though I was more bothered about the after effect because I felt my face thumping and the horrid burning sensation... Yes it was not nice. Anyhow I have taken picturessss, yes yes... Horrid pictures of my scars.

My face has already started oozing out yellow liquid... Some blood spots, skin is turning brown, apparently these are all normal. I freaking hope so!

Vital that my face does not get dry at all in these last 5-7 days!!! So vasaline should be placed on at all times etc. Medications taken everyday. I have taken pictures of the stuff I have recieved from PHI clinic homecare.

The before pictures I had anaesthetic cream on so don't mind the glossiness of my face haha. All the pictures I have enhanced them on the iphone to try get the scarring to look more visible.

Here is an picture of the homecare stuff, the magic of pictures, saves me from a lot of explaining and yada yada yada.
image.thumb.jpeg.fef38e5cc4f02734b08e4d6

So here are my pictures after treatment... Omgosh starting to feel slighty itchy on my face. It is horroble to sleep with all that junk on my face. Going to change my pillow case everyday... Can't wait till tomorrow afternoon so I can splash water on it... So water is my best friend for the next few days. Mind you I have slight ocd so I will have to resist the urge to go and jump in the bath and start washing my face and hair.

Oh, I brought a blender, so lots of force drinking those nutritions will happen very soon.

My drinks for now will only be pure 100% not concentrated orange juice, water, robiboo tea, jasmine tea and matcha tea. Those tea especially matcha has high antioxidants, please do some research on them. I absolutely adore them.

Okay here we go after pictures of my skin after treatment. The treatment was fairly quick which was great, I had the Infini before and I have to say Infini was an 8 out of 10 in pain wise. Came out with my face with blood raining down my face, this was from the Infini haha (oh lovely) the price we pay for good skin.

Dr Tapan Patel has requested I send him a picture everyday so he can address any problem that raises asap. Which is good I guess, thank god for my 6s with good camera my pictures are pretty clear lol.

NO PAIN NO GAIN!

A few hours after the treatment... My skin has started browning already, this is to be expected. I have no idea how I feel about this whole thing at the moment so I am currently trying to be as healthy as I can, going with the flow... (Sort of failed in the being "healthy" thing, I had some fudge cake to treat myself for going through that horrid treatment)... A girl has to know how to cheer herself up sometimes haha... Though I ate it happily, there is slight regret! Darn you fudge cake for being so delicious!!! I would eat one more again tomorrow... Someone stop me... Now this explains the blender and soon force drinking of vegetables and fruits. Those yummy junkies sigh. Tomorrow will be the last of my unhealthy food, I swear it... Sort of...

Here are some pictures...

How I look the next day. I won't be doing a daily one, I don't see the point unless there were major changes. I will update this after a weeks time.

As horrid as it looks, there is not much I can do at this moment but make sure I follow instructions. I am trying to stop smoking, gosh it is so hard! I am dying for a cigarette! I only had 1 so far... I hope I can stick it out. No pain, no gain. Fml right now... The struggles trying to achieve that smooth skin.

Quick updates - not going to include pictures today, as the changes are not major.

Light shedding of skin, not much but there is minor events happening. Slight redness and mild breakout. I have managed to stop smoking, I am currently on day 4 and have been on a nutrition smoothie drink up marathon. Lots of water and herbal teas, two meals daily and two veg/fruit smoothies.

Will post pictures maybe Thursday or Friday.

If anyone has any questions about this treatment, please do ask away.

Hi MsBubbleTea,

How are you doing now?
Did you have the fully ablative, non-fractionated version (the old school resurfacing) of the ultrapulse, or did you have the fractionated activeFx/deepFX/totalFX?

I am following your topic, since I am going for the non fractionated ultrapulse Co2 laser in a few months.

Anyway, I hope you are healing well.

Hello Arte,

PHI Clinic does fractional co2, I took a screenshot just for you of their treatments.image.thumb.png.eeeec7b0a346895dfc6ceb8e
I will be going for my next one in April most likely. Has there been improvements? Yes, I can say there has been... Not major improvements because the one I had was a light one to see how I would heal. I would like to point out having co2's your skin will never be the same...

Apart from the acne scars my skin was pretty okay, felt smooth and soft etc before the treatment... My pores weren't that big etc etc. Hm after getting the Co2 done, I have notice a slight change in pore size but I can deal with that if it got rid of my acne pits and there has been improvements to it. The pits are not as deep anymore, yes they are still visible, I expected it, I know it is not a miracle work I am still recovering as it takes 3-6 months for your skin to fully go back to normal. My skin healing slow etc will most likely take 6 months. I had the Infini done and that took 6-7months to completely heal.

I shall post a picture of it when I stopped breaking out. I had a slight breakout attack due to the horrid Vaseline I had to keep on for a week and now I came on my monthly, hormones are not doing justice to my face either.

After changing my diet etc. Have I notice any improvements... It has only been two weeks, coming up to three so I am not 100% sure of the effects. But hey veg and fruits it will do something good for me.

So my new venture of helping my skin as I broke out and I know it's hormonal imbalance. Due to my age and breakouts when I am about to come on. I went to see a Chinese acupuncture specialist and now have 3 months worth of acupuncture session booked in and will be drinking horrible chinese herbs everyday. Good god!!! The things I put myself through! I have two medication to drink, one when I am not on and one when I am on. Since it is hormones it makes sense to drink two different ones as my body changes bla bla.

I can't use anything harsh on my face at the moment so I thought I shall try and control my acne outbreaks from the inside. I will need this when I go for my next Co2 treatment. Hmm if it does not work I guess I will be going for my last resort and go on accutane...

Hello everyone,

It has been several months since October and I would like to show you my skin... Mind you I have been breaking due to hormones and I have not been going to see my chinese doctor to continue those sessions I was supposed to have with her.

I have been very busy due to my drama life events. When I mean dramatic I mean dramatic lol. Anyhow my skin has healed from the Co2 and I would like to say there has been slight improvement, I have noticed that the very mild pits were the ones that has improved. The deeper pits not so much, but keep in mind the last Co2 laser I had was on mild settings.

I have my second CO2 booked in for 31st of March. One day after my 30th Birthday.

Would I recommend the co2?

so far yes, but I have two more to go and the next one will be a deeper one so let's see how that goes. I wouldn't place all bets on it yet haha.

image.thumb.jpeg.62bc656bee4afe1d510534cimage.thumb.jpeg.577ee496b158e9f866c918dimage.thumb.jpeg.8adc7fc305d48406eeb02e6

I used sharpen to edit these photos so you can see the pits more.

These are the originals with no effects on them. Don't get me wrong, my skin still looks bad but that's mostly due to me breaking out as I am currently going through a major life change and stressed, my monthly period does not help me either lol. But there has been slight improvement (tinyyyy) sighhhh if only I would stop breaking out all together. I have been neglecting myself due to a lot of problems with life.

therefore starting smoking again! Stopped my nutrition drinks and stopped seeing my chinese doctor that was helping me balance my hormones. Next month I shall try again to sort those out as I have my next co2 at the end of March.

So following up from my treatment yesterday.

I am not having the CO2 laser anymore because I have super sensitive skin and Dr Patel said he thinks I would benefit from the Picosure laser instead. So I had it done yesterday, with the Vbeam laser and I must say I love the Vbeam. I suffer from rosacea, so my skin is often VERY RED, which makes my scarring etc more visible. My skin today is not as red as usual which I am very pleased about.

Dr Patel said because of the down time I had for the Infini and CO2 he does not want to put me through those treatments again, as all the settings for those were done on very low and my skin still took months to heal. I think I have somehow become some sort of project to him as I am the first client who has came to them with such sensitive skin. I have another appointment next month on the 20th of June, once again everything is done on very low settings and Dr Patel will slowly build the strength of the settings to find the right one for me.

Please keep in mind all my treatments are done on very low settings.

The pain for the Picosure laser was 2/10, I quite like this, over quickly
Infini I would give that a 8/10... I had tears coming out of my eyes - I absolutely disliked this treatment
CO2 6 or 7/10 it was painful but it was quickly over so it was very bearable, I actually wouldn't mind going through this treatment again.
Vbeam 2/10 over quickly

I have been looking up on the theraclear acne treatment and considering to get my hormones looked at because I only breakout when I am on.I have read up on the Theraclear treatment and it seems pretty cool but of course the route of everything is my hormones. I was thinking to do Theraclear once a month just to remove everything that is deep within my skin to upkeep my skin. If anyone has information on the Theraclear please do share it with me.

Personally right now, I really like this clinic. Dr Patel and his team are wonderful people. My skin is not sorted yet because I am sort of a hard case to deal with and things ain't going straight forward but I feel that they are really working with me to find the right treatment for my skin and I think that's quite important as we all have different skin and have different needs. I feel comfortable there and hopefully I will slowly get to the point where I feel alright with my skin.

I will upload pictures later tonight or tomorrow, I left my phone at my parents house, will be getting it tonight.

I am not here to promote anything, this is my experience and hopefully it helps people who are suffering and going through something like me. I ain't giving up finding the right treatment for me, so fingers crossed and good luck to you all. I will update with pictures and after that most likely you won't hear from me until my next appointment at the PHI clinic, so if you have anything to ask I won't be answering until then.

Helloooo,

So I have been busy. I started a new job on the 25th of May so I actually haven't had a chance to update. So my pics for after treatment for the vbeam and Picosure laser is here. This is after the treatment, my skin was really red.

I loved the vbeam, felt like it helped with the redness. I think I would continue this forever as long as I need it. I suffer from Roscea. No bad experience with this treatment.

So from the last time, I brokeout from hormonal acne. I ended up going on the Theraclear therapy and have been having this for the past month, once every two weeks is recommended. Last month I started it but then haven't been back there until today, due to work and kids bla bla (life's pleasure). So today was my second treatment, since this is my second treatment and I did not go to the clinic when I was supposed to, I can not give much review on this acne treatment.

Currently I have changed my skin care to Murad, using their blemish cleaner and blemish solution, can't review on this yet either, it has only been a week since I used these products. I have to really get my acne under control before I start to do my vbeam and Picosure laser again (my skin some reason has changed and I am breaking out more when I come on), Dr. Patel still recommends those for my acne scar/pits as that was the on treatment that my skin is healing well to. So until I get my acne back under control (my chin especially is not being nice to me *cries*), those treatments are on pause. So at the moment I am only having the theraclear treatment. So pics for after my theraclear, next treatment is on the Thursday 28th of July. These pics has been sharpern on the iphone to it clear as possible. Bruise from the theraclear, I am not concern, it will go. Hopefully my skin clears up soon and then I can get on with these horrible acne pits!
