Hello everyone, I am 15 years old and I have acne (mild to moderate). I am currently on vacation and everyday I go to beach to swim in the sea. I use Avene sunscreen which is for oily skin. I wash my face twice in a day and I use gel for heal acnes. Everything I do is usual expect sunscreen and sea. Also normally I wouldn't be out so much in the sun but for three weeks I am.. My breakouts usually heal in one to two weeks but this time it is not healing for a month. And it resume to produce acne. Also I have a few redness on my forehead which is not acne or in shape like bumps. Just redness and when I touch them there is no way for me to feel them because it feels so normal like there is nothing there. I have more black heads than usual and what I have now is more than I have ever had. I don't know why they don't heal because they would have heal by now normally. I am not doing anything different expect all those summer stuff. What do you think? Do you think summer make my acne worse or this breakout is permanent? Is it something common to have bad acne in summer? And also what do you know about that redness that I told before? I need your help.. Thanks already

Sun over exposure can be problematic but so can some sunscreen products. I will give you some information to read through.

I wasn't sure what gel you are using for your acne but here is our best advice. http://www.acne.org/regimen

I think everyone is totally different. Some people really find their acne improves with sun exposure but others don't.

Personally for ME I know that I sweat much more than normal (obviously) and this causes me to break out lots more in tiny spots..I hate it so much. My skin really does prefer a much colder and drier climate - humidity is so bad for alot of people's skin.

All I can say is keep doing what your doing with the regimen and maybe look into blotting papers to blot excess swear off throughout the day.

I don't know about the redness but you say they are not bumps specifically so maybe you have been touching your skin and not been realising?
