I'm a teen suffering from acne, had for around 2 years but it never goes, sometimes clears up a bit but then wake up with cysts/ forehead spots etc. I've tried so many different creams and washes and nothing's has a noticeable difference, should I see a doctor or does anybody recommend something I could try?

Have you tried dans acne.org regimen?

Your acne is not bad so I dont think you need to see a dermatologist. Sometimes they prescribe you antibiotics and creams that doesnt work or makes things worse.

Look for the reviews and discussions about the regimen :)

Another thing have you tried to eliminate dairy/fast food/sugar/gluten in your diet? Try it for 3 months to see if it makes a difference!

That's bad enough to see a derm.

Try to get an appointment.

That's my whole face. I drink so much water and not much sugar at all, should I try and see a doctor or just try and eliminate things in my diet first. I know it looks ridiculous with my eyes etc scribbled out but just to protect identity

it's really not that bad, and it's not cystic....next time I get one the size of a marble deep under the skin I will send you a picture

seeing a derm is a good idea, try to avoid the anti biotics....stick to topicals - while you wait for the appointment really give the acne.org regiment a try- with your mild acne it just may help

I suggest staying natural and figuring out what may be causing it.

P.S.

It looks like it could definitely get worse.

Do you mean it will get worse no mater what I do? Or do You mean that if I don't find the route of the problem it will get worse?

Do you think either of these may help?

Well here you go. Both very cheap so you can order online. I guarantee they will help your acne.

Good luck! Read reviews on them, they work for many people and are almost 5 star.

Your acne is similar to my son's, mild to moderate. he also has body acne and folliculitis. He's doing the Acne.Org Regimen for face and body (plus Nizoral shampoo for folliculitis) and it's really helping. Things aren't perfect but manageable and in control so I haven't taken him to a derm. Folliculitis is actually his bigger problem, if this gets worse may take him in for advice on this.

You're a good candidate for the Acne.Org Regimen so I'd give it a try. I'd recommend a 2.5% BP like Neutrogena On-The-Spot or the one they sell on this website. Kills p.acne bacteria just as well as stronger formulas but much gentler on skin! I would stick to one acne treatment at a time...using multiple treatments simultaneously can lead to skin irritation which can exacerbate breakouts.

Good luck with whatever you decide! :)

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm in the UK - and seeing as these are U.S. products they're so much more expensive/not available in the UK.

I can get hold of vitamin c and zinc tablets and can buy some 2.5% bp gel - should I give this a go?

If you're still interested in trying salicyclic products as well I know Superdrug does their own brand called 'Deep Action Anti Blemish' its in a blue box and its only around 3 if I remember correctly! You can get BP in a pharmacy or Boots easily too! But if you think you want to see your GP then go for it! Good luck.
