I went to the dermatologist last Wednesday for acne along my jaw line and chin. I've never really had bad breakouts before this.. He prescribed me aczone, Epiduo and antibiotics. I've been taking them for about a week now and the first two days I saw improents but now it seems back to how it was and the acne has spread to my cheeks! My wedding is in a month and a half! Should I continue to use!? What was your experience with this medicine?

everything takes at least 6-8 weeks- that's a good routine, so stick with it...if it's going to help it will take that long

in the meantime, since time is not on your side, clean up your diet, ditch dairy all together if you haven't, and minimize sugar and processed foods....lots of spring water and green tea- can't hurt

good luck to you and try not to stress too much, that's the other enemy - easier said than done!

I would caution against continuing so close to your wedding date as you may purge for at least 3 months.

My dermatologist gave me Clindamycin Phosphate for the morning after I wash, and told me to use Benzoyl peroxide 10% after washing my face before bed. I have been doing this for 2 weeks now. I am pleased so far.

Hi I have taken antibiotics and used epiduo. My derm told me some patients don't see improvement until 6 months being on epiduo, but it did nothing for me. I also had no luck with antibiotics. I have read where some people had amazing results from epiduo and saw improvement much sooner than 6 months, but I don't know if it starts work in less than a month and a half. I was told by derm epiduo makes your skin worse before it gets better so I am surprised thats what he prescribed, but maybe with the there combinations theres a reason. Any ways just my two cents. I hope you are one of the lucky ones and it works for you.
