Karishma 0 Share Posted October 30, 2005 I just want to know more about the mask. Do you whip the egg white until it is fluffy and white and then, you mix it with the lemon?? I am new here, so Help!!!! My acne is killing me!Karishma, 13Singapore
jjproof0364 0 Share Posted October 30, 2005 dont use the whole egg, u can save some of it for the next day. anyways i dont know what u mean, but just whip it for like 25 seconds, apply lemon and mix it for a few seconds. by the way i dont think its that good for your acne, i think the baking soda and apple cider vinegar work better for acne. the mask is good, but better for red marks. tanyastar 0 Share Posted October 31, 2005 I just have 1 question. Is it OK to use ready made egg-whites? Or do they have to be real eggs?

Twofer 0 Share Posted November 1, 2005 i also have that same question. is it okay to use those already made egg whites in the bottles? and when i whip the egg white, its still liquid, is that okay? and what do you guys use to smooth it in your face?

paris* 0 Share Posted November 8, 2005 (edited) Just wanted to let everyone know that I've been doing ONLY the egg-white (and lemon) mask for 4 nights in a row now and I DEFINITELY see a reduction in the redness of the scars on my cheeks. Since the rest of my skin is pretty pale, my red scars have always stood out and been embarrassing even when I had no pimples at all! I recommend that EVERYONE with red scarring try this egg mask for a WHOLE week in a row (I'm up to night 4 now) and see for yourself!! My redness is DEFINITELY just pinkened slightly and I will cotninue to use it as long as need be!!! and Ill update more!! really...this is inspiring. i have a lot of red marks on the sides of face (it looks blotchy and awful...so depressing ), and i've tried lots of regimens to reduce the redness with no success. i was hesitant to try the baking powder and acv thing so i'll try what you did for a week. here's hoping to not breaking out even more (since this has happened to some)! mystic_violet_01 0 Share Posted November 10, 2005 You have to whip the egg white till it's white and fluffy but still runny i think. Just put it on with ur fingers.
*Sigh* 0 Share Posted November 11, 2005 Yeah I couldnt believe h ow fast it came off with water... my skin felt soooo good..this is the 4th night i've used it I think.....it looked really good but i woke up with a few really huge pimples =(
mystic_violet_01 0 Share Posted November 11, 2005 yeah it comes off so easy with water! I broke out a little too but i think it's just ur skin getting use to it!
*Sigh* 0 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Do you put on anything AFTER you wash the mask off?? I hate moisturizer because my face gets so greasy overnight, so i just wonder if you leave it like that...or put some BP on ??
mystic_violet_01 0 Share Posted November 16, 2005 My skin gets really greasy if i use even an oil free moisturiser too, but after the eggwhite i put on acv and dont wash it off, and i just started using 100%aloe vera gel also and it's sooooo good, its not greasy at all or doesn't seem to clog pores and it helps with redness and in the morning when i wake up my skin is half as oily as it was when i didn't use it! AmberLynn 0 Share Posted November 16, 2005 Ok, this is awesome. I have extremely mild acne, and for some reason my derm wanted to put me on Accutane. I joined this form, and have been doing quite a bit of research. I have decided Accutane was not the way to go, so I tried this starting 5 days ago. I had one pimple 5 days ago, under the skin, and this brought it up IMMEDIATELY! I am now clear, my old red marks are definately fading and I have wonderful smooth skin. I definately reccommend you try it!
Rio 0 Share Posted November 16, 2005 i wanna try this but i know lots of people who leave the acv on :/
jeromemorrow 0 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Has anyone tried this tx with the electric toothbrush exfoliation method? More specifically, has anyone tried this or a slightly similar regimen: AM: Exfoliating with an elctric toothbrush and a soap such as Basis, then washing off Applying baking soda paste, then washing off Applying 1:8 ACV, then washing off after 10 min. Applying acne cream (i.e. 2.5% BP or neosporin) PM: Exfoliating with an elctric toothbrush and a soap such as Basis, then washing off Applying egg + lemon mask, then washing off after 10min Applying acne cream (i.e. 2.5% BP or neosporin)Just curious to what readers are doing. Also, what time-table have people seen with the fading of red marks? It's a yellow lemon. I don't believe color matters as long as you are getting the benefits from citric acid, vitamin C and other ingredients. Taste on the other hand.... yikes, go for yellow unless you're teaching yourself a very valuable and bitter lesson.
Karishma 0 Share Posted November 20, 2005 Speaking of red marks i wanna ask something. you see i have been having acne for like 4 years and the thing is that even if i squeeze or not there is still a red mark. anyone has this problem?
mindhead 0 Share Posted November 22, 2005 I think I have the similar problem... I've been having acne for ages now.. approx. 5 years or so? except that it shifted from forehead to cheeks. anyway, I get red marks all the time, even though they fade after time. I dont' know if there's any quicker way to make them vanish or make them entirely invisible (no make-up please ^^) just curious. The regimen sounds interesting... but I might start off with Dan's program first or maybe mix the two together somehow. We'll see... just gotta wait for Clear Skin Gel to arrive ^^
