Dents In Forehead. How To Fill In?

Ever since I went to an esthetician that made some extractions last year I've been noticing these dents. What can I do to fill them in? Would injectable fillers help? They're pretty profound and it literally looks like I'm missing parts of my skull or chunks of meat.

fillers would help for sure but you might need subcision on a few of those areas first so that you dont get that donut type effect afterwards. i would go for a consult with at least 2-3 plastic surgeons and then go from there. if the area makes you self conscious for now i would just get bangs. i always used to say if i ended up with scarring on my forehead that is what i would do but then i got scarring on my chin. blah! scarring sucks but you are still very pretty :)

Injecting fillers in forehead can make you blind. I wouldnt do it.

that is not true! there is only a few small risk if you are using a filler under the eyes and you inject it into the blood vessel there.

the forehead is a fine place to get filler such as restylane. if you do go that route gisselles02 you would go to an experienced plastic surgeon and get it done.

Well I'll see. I have a consultation appointment with my dermatologist next week and I want to see what he has to say. I mentioned this issue with one of the assistants there and she didn't really take it as much of a big deal. But it really concerns me because when I wash my face I can really feel the unevenness of my forehead.

I hear subcision works and it's permanent unlike fillers.

How is a subcision performed and won't it leave further marks?

It can leave additional marks, but the incision area is so small I wouldn't worry about it. Make sure you get a doctor that's very experienced, though.

I've looked into fillers for my scars, and had some done. I didn't really like it. You get puffy and red for a few days, and it's only temporary.

Subcision is by far the most effective treatment I've found for atrophic scars. You may be one of the lucky few, but don't expect more than a 50% improvement regardless of what option you choose.
