My scars are severe, pretty big deep on both temples, the slightest little stretch and they're completely gone. It's annoying!!!

i just read a successful story on realself.com (photos included) of a woman with severe scars who got a mini face lift along with fat transfer into the face...her face looks so much better. I also wanted to add, I've heard that, if you can stretch the scars and they disappear, then they'd respond well to fillers.

REALLY?

Well that's great news for me, I'm getting fillers in 4 or 5 weeks time. Fingers crossed!!

I'm the opposite. You can't see a lot of mine but when you stretch my skin they appear!

Hi guys, I have bad acne scarring on my checks and am considering a facelift. Im considering a facelift surgery by the next month from Dr. Sammy Silwins cosmetic surgery clinic in Toronto. Would a facelift help with acne scars or should I consider other options? I would be glad if you share your experience with us via this thread. Thanks in advance.

yes its also true for me. Facelift would do wonders on acne scarring or just fillers, either route you take it will help you tremendously.

This is not a long-term solution, unfortunately. The resulting tension on the skin will cause it to gradually regenerate e.g. loosen up and the scars will eventually become visible again. If this actually worked it would be a no-brainer, most of us would be having it done.
