Hi so i started epiduo but I'm from Canada so its called Tactupump and i have slme general questions and open to any advice to anyone who used it.

1. How long did it take you to notice it was working?

2. How long did it take to reach the point of clear skin?

3. Did you experience an initial breakout? If so how many weeks in?

4. What kind of skin would you say this product is made for?

I just started tactupump too... I've only applied it twice so far and am starting off every second day because in really freaked out about the initial breakout... I have high hopes for this cream... Seems to have a lot of good reviews! Crossing my fingers we both have good results and quickly...it's hard being patient.

How's it going for you? I'm still applying every second day.. Started on May 2... I'm having a breakout right now, but I wouldn't say it's worse than what I normally get. I've also started getting dry around my mouth which I noticed started today.

Here's my journey using epiduo;

I tend to use Epiduo few weeks ago where my specialist recommended it.

On my first day using it, no results occured nor any burns, painful stuff etc.

On my second day, it was the same as my first day.

My third day was different. When I applied the cream on my cheek, it started itching and somehow burned. I could barrely smile. When I woke up, I saw dryness, but not extreme dryness.

However, on my fourth using epiduo, it started itching like hell. I was abit red on my cheek but it really burned where at that point I couldn't even smile. When I woke up, I even had extreme dryness. This was the day I stopped using it and purchased a cream against dryness which healed 3-4 days later.

If you have sensitive skin, you shall not go for products as epiduo (Tactupump) because it may ruin your skin, it could have ruined mine if I contuinued using it though.

I did however not experience any kind of breakouts, worsen acne or any such though.

Stopped Tactuo use as of 3 days ago after 16 weeks of use. Couldnt take it anymore, there were no signs whatsoever of improvement, and skin was always slightly reddened. Ive read all the reviews and knoe that 3 months is usually a turning point but I honestly just couldnt see it.

I have switched back to Clindoxyl which had worked for me before it went on the drug shortage list earlier last year. Perhaps knowing there was something else that had previously worked for me available again made it easier for me to give up Tactuo after those long 16 week but either way Im now off it.

I started using Tactupump 2 weeks ago and aside from a few days of dry patches(first 2 days), I haven't experienced any negative side effects like what I have been reading on the internet. My skin is already improving. I have not had any new acne since using it. Im not sure why my experience is so different from all of the other reviews I have read but I have been using Cerave face wash +Cerave moisturizing lotion...Best stuff ever! I have also been using sunscreen everyday. I find that helps keep my skin moisturized, which might be one of the reasons why Im not experiencing too much dryness. So far so good...I understand it could get worse but I have my fingers crossed that it won't! :)

Hey everyone im really pissed off right now LOL. So I started using it april 1st. Around mid may I would say that I was clear. Thats about 1.5 months of use. Aside from hyperpigmentation it worked really well. But as literally last week I dont know what happened but I broke out lile crazy. I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. Its just not working anymorr and im getting new pimples everyday which seems like the epiduo/tactupump is doing nothing to help

Hey, are you continuing to use it? I would try and give it a bit longer. The fact that you did clear up means it must still be working. I read that it takes 12 weeks for full benefits. Have you noticed your breakouts are smaller or anything or you have had more clear days than you usually would? I break out every second week. It sucks!

If it makes you feel any better i keep breaking out still too (I'm on Day 41). I have noticed so far that maybe my acne isnt quite as "angry" as it used to be. But it is still just as disheartening. I got the prescription from a GP, so I'm going back in 2 weeks if I don't notice a remarkable difference to get a referral to a dermatologist (and will probably just keep using the cream while I'm at it).

Have you been taking anything else or using any other topical along side your epiduo?

Try and keep positive

I've been using Tactupump for two weeks now. I've had a big purge, and now just slow purging. I've seen a large improvement in the smoothness of my skin - i.e. my old slightly pitting acne scars are now smooth. They are also not dark anymore, and cover with makeup with ease. However, my skin is red, tight, dry, and sensitive. I've been applying every night, and didn't realize to apply moisturizer over top the Tactu after it dries... I'm going to start doing that tonight.I still have hopes... Even if they are paired with high insecurities about going into public with my red, dry, tight, kind of pimply face.

Good luck! I hope it works for you :)

I'm at week 9 and still breaking out. Trying to stick it out the 12 full weeks, but it's hard to keep positive. I would say it's gotten better than what I started with but i am still breaking out weekly even if they are clearing more quickly. just hate how everytime I get a new pimple it leaves a mark. I know they aren't true scars, but hey take months and months to heal. I did make the mistake of not using moisturizer as I always thought it would break me out, but my skin is so so dehydrated I finally caved. What type of moisturizer are you using?

If anyone's reading this, I thought I would just update that I'm on Day 79 and I have gone 2 weeks tomorrow with no new pimples popping up. If you asked me two weeks ago I wouldn't believe this would happen. So please try and stick with it until week 12 before making a decision. 6-8 weeks isn't enough time!!!

Been on Tactupump for 7 weeks, and see the start of improvement. about 3 weeks ago i had a really bad breakout on my jaw line, but now its slowly fading and pimples that pop up are alot smaller and easily managable. Every morning my skin looks less red. I feel like the treatment moves the acne from place to place. It started on my cheeks then my forehead and now my jawline, and now im noticing acne poping up on my other cheek. I was also prescribed Doxycycline, a strong Anti- bacterial, which i think is working better than the tactupump. I believe this topical cream is something you just got to hold out on and wait, sooner or later you"ll see results!

Good luck everyone :)

I'm on week 5 and the Initial breakout seems to be starting to clear up. It was pretty hectic there for a few weeks, with new breakouts pretty much every single day! It was the worst my acne had been in years.

What I did notice though was the breakouts were mostly from small dormant bumps that had been hanging around for months. I guess it just speeds up the process. I feel like I had about 2 years worth of pimples in 1 hit! They were all very symmetrical too, which was odd (or maybe not?).

Still alot of redness and itchiness throughout the day. I am using moisturiser with spf 30 in the morning but nothing at night. Thinking I should probably get onto that asap.

I used tactupump while at home for a week and it killed my skin, it felt raw, was red and VERY DRY and literally felt like a bad sun burn, then I went up to my cottage and my cousin had the same perscription, so I just tried to use it again and IT WORKED WONDERS! For the week that I was there... Weird? when I got back home I continued the same skin care regiment I was using at the cottage (spectro gel combo skin, herbal spot serum, tactupump, then real aloe Vera cut from the plant) AND AGAIN I HAD THE WORST REACTION! Like what? So I went to my dermatologist and she said to look into the type of water at my house compared to the cottage, so turns out we have a SOFT WATER filter at the cottage, and really hard water where I live at home, she recommended me invest in a soft water pump but they're around $900 :( so I've been washing my face using Aquafina water bottles, this brand of water has been proven to be the softest, it has been changing my skin for the better! Try it out, and do research of the effects of hard water on ur skin! It's bad!

I just started Tactupump about 4-5 days ago, and yesterday night it was BURNING and red on my face, and the idiot I am I didn't do anything about it, so the next morning, took it off and it was fine, I put on a diy mask, rinsed it out, and took a shower, I am out and my skin where I applied it was extremely dry, it was hurting me when I touched it and it was red, I'm so disappointed, I had high hope for this product and was so happy that my skin was going to clear up, I don't have any active pimple right now, their all scars, so I'm guessing that's why it did that but idk I'm new to this

1. How long did it take you to notice it was working?
I have been using this product for 2 years now and I have only noticed minor changes. My skin is constantly fluctuating from bad to really bad. When I don't use this product it gets really bad instead of just bad. That's the one thing I didn't realize when starting this, you can't stop, and if you do the breakouts start again.

2. How long did it take to reach the point of clear skin?
Unfortunately, I never got clear skin.

3. Did you experience an initial breakout? If so how many weeks in?
Yes, the first week I remember was unbearable. My skin got so dry and when I would put it on it felt like it was burning. I can put it on now just like any other skin cream without it hurting or making my skin dry. My skin got worse for about 2 months and I couldn't even wear makeup because my skin looked too cracked and dry.

4. What kind of skin would you say this product is made for?
Acne prone skin that isn't in the sun very often. If you get sunburned you can't wear it or it will hurt too much.

I had quitebad acne on my forehead for about a year and a half before my doctor prescribed me this product. I started using it exclusively on my forehead every night before bed (as directed by my doctor) and after about 1.5 monthes I noticed it was beginning to work. After about 3 monthes my skin completely cleared up. Luckily, I did not experience any kind of initial break outs.

I would say this product is definitely better for people with oily skin as it can be very drying. I tried using it on the rest of my face to clear very mild cases of acne on my cheeks and chin for about a month, but it was a little painful because of how drying it was. (My forehead was oily enough that I had no issues with dryness there). The drying effect does die down and it becomes less of a problem as you continue using it, but it is quite uncomfortable until then.

Despite the seemingly negative review I just gave, this productcompletely changed my skin for the better, and I am more than happy with the results.

I've just started my second try with Epiduo. The first time that I used it my skin broke out straight away and also got really dry so I gave up after about a month, and when I did my acne suddenly improved again which made me think this cream was just a complete waste of time and not actually good for my skin. But when I went to my derm she thought it was just a coincidence and prescribed it to me again a couple of weeks ago (stopped using it the first time in May). I'm PRAYING that with Epiduo acne just gets worse before it gets better and if I stick it out this time I'll see some improvements... But finding it hard to sit around for a few months and wait for results that might not happen when I'm desperate to just find something that will definitely clear my acne.
But good luck, I hope this treatment works for you!

My doctor prescribed me Tactupump and an antibiotic called Apo-doxy. I have been using them for a week today and noticed its getting a little bit better. The first 3 nights I used it my face wasn't burning when I put it on, the fourth night I put it on I felt a slight burn and it just keeps getting worse every night, I am not going to stop using it because you have to push through the side effects if you want it to get better, some peoples faces are different than others and maybe it wont burn for you. My routine is Morning: Wash face with life brand cleanser, and I used to use an oily skin moisturizer but got a dry skin one because my face was starting to dry out from the tactupump, then I rinse my face in the afternoon. Night: I take my apo-doxy pill 100mg and Cleanse, Tactupump, Moisturizer. I hope this medication works for you, everyone is different so if you don't notice any change in the first few weeks just keep using it, it eventually clear up and your face will be clear.

Hello! (excuse my English, I'm a french Canadian)
I started Tactupump on the first week of November, and I'm getting really tired of it... But your messages just gave me hope again!

The first day = nothing
Second day = little itchy
Third day = PAIN

I had to call off at my job, it felt (and looked) like my face was burned with acid. It was extremely painful, red and dry. Nobody told me I had to start by using it every two days instead of everyday. I took a week off to let my skin calm down and return to normal.

Then I started it again slowly, until I felt like my skin was getting used to it. I've been using it everyday for almost two months now, but I still have a little bit of acne (it's better, but it's still there), my skin is still dry where I apply the cream and it's also kind of red (and since I don't apply it everywere, it really looks weird). It also still burns a little everytime I put it of my face at night... It's really annoying, I cannot wait to have a comfortable sleep that won't hurt.

I really have a low self esteem because of my skin and, before the cream, I used to put on make up everytime I got out of my house. Since now my skin is so dry, I can't put on make up... I can't wait for the results to be satisfying, because it's really hard for me right now... I hope it's gonna work well after 12 weeks, so I can go out without any make up and feel pretty and confident!

Thank you for your feedback, it gave me the motivation I needed to continue the cream! I will try to let you know what happened with my skin after 12 weeks.

Oh, and I also take Vitamine E pills for my scars (I poke them with a needle and take the oil inside of them)
I've been doind this for a month now. Like TactuPump, I can see that it works a bit, but not as much as I would like... But all the other products I've seen to clear acne scars seem a little bit too strong to mix it with an already pretty strong acne cream, so I'll stay with my vitamine E for now.

I was prescribed tactupump forte by a dermatologist. I'm a redhead and have naturally very sensitive skin. My dermatologist was aware of that.

I started using it every second night for about a week and Ideveloped what seems to be contact dermatitis around my mouth. Many little pustules, pain, itching and redness. Can't even cover with makeup. It was hard for me to smile and even open my mouth fully.

Had this rashfor 5 longdays so far and haven't applied the cream for 6days. It's horrible having to deal with public with this gross blistering rash around my mouth.

I DO NOT recommend this for people who have sensitive skin. It will just make your skin worse and more angry. Some skin types just can't handle the harsh creams.
