I am 26 and have suffered from acne for 12+ years. I originally began with Clinique 's cleansing system back in my teen years, but when the breakouts kept coming I started to see a dermatologist (well... actually three over the years). I have tried every product from retin-a, benzaclin, epiduo, the list goes on... I've had oral medications and eventually turned to accurate which dried my face beyond belief, but did leave it clear for about a year and then that acne began to rear its ugly head once more.
Next came the "lifestyle" approaches with manduka honey, caveman, diet changes. I could get my skin about 75% clear but never entirely there and hormonal changes would always turn my face into a virtual land mine.
So finally, I happened to be on yelp and came across reviews for a local esthetician's acne clinic. The reviews were all glowing and all references he face reality products that she used. Upon further research, I booked my appointment!

I am 29 and started using face reality products and seeing an acne therapist about 2 weeks ago. It looks like it's been a couple of months since your first appointment, how has your experience been? Are you still using their products?
I'm having some very noticeable initial breakouts from starting the regimen and its a little discouraging, even though I know it can be normal. So I just thought I'd ask how your experience was. I hope you are enjoying beautiful clear skin! 
I am interested in hearing how others like their products/facials. There is a skin care clinic that uses their products and techniques in NJ and I was interested in seeing them for a consultation. I'm not sure if BP is the only thing that they have to offer as I am allergic and my eczema is acting up......

Hi Leelowe1. I just had an appointment today. It was my third appointment. Today she used ultrasonic therapy which I had never heard of before. She was able to do a lot of extractions!
I've been using the products for almost a month. They at first really dried my skin out so I backed off a little until I got used to them. I can definitely tell a difference in certain areas of my face. For example, my forehead has never felt so smooth.
I tend to have a purging/initial breakout phase when I start new products so I actually have worse acne then when I started. But, my acne therapist explained to me that the acne I'm seeing on my face is from like 90 days ago and the products are helping to soften them and bring them out. So she's excited about it. At least that makes one of us, lol. It's so embarrassing!!
She gave me some benzoyl peroxide today and I will be slowly easing into it over the next 4 weeks. She specifically asked if I had any allergies to sulfur so I'm assuming that's an ingredient. I'm really impressed with my therapists knowledge and how she seems to customize for her clients. I'm also using mandelic acid and glycolic acid, so BPO isn't the only product that they use.
So far I'm liking the product line and I'm hopeful that I will see some good results in the next couple of months.

I just started using face reality products 2 weeks ago after literally trying EVERTHING!! I wanted to know if you has success from face reality as it looks like it was over a year since you posted. I'm having a really bad "purging" period! My specialists is telling me that's what suppose to happen but I'm more depressed now than ever. Along with cyst and inflamed acne I have white bumps all over and my skin is very rough! Did you experience something similar in the beginning??
