sorry if this sounds noob :/

I have Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF 50+/ UVA 28.

The label says its hypoallergenic and the directions is to "apply liberally to face and UV hypersensitive exposed zones before sun-exposure."

I am just not sure if it's okay to apply to my body like hands and legs...

Yes, that's perfectly fine. It's usually ok to apply things meant for your face onto your body (depending on product and the location of course, but generally speaking), but typically products meant for the body are not appropriate for the face.
