Prescription: Tretinoin, Clindamycin, And Oral Erythromycin! I Have Questions!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I was just prescribed the following:

Prescription

1) Tretinoin 0.025% (Topical) 1x per day

2) Clindamycin (?)% (Topical) 2x per day

3) Erythromycin (Oral) 333mg - 2x per day (666mg total)

4) Facewash: Sodium Sulfacetamide (5%/10% I think)

Current Pill Intakes for Hormonal Acne:

1) Saw Palmetto - 320mg (1x or 2x a day) - NOW Foods

2) Beta Sitosterol - NOW Foods

3) Liver Detox Pills (Milk Thistle) - NOW Foods

4) Zinc for Acne (Vitamin World) - 25-50mg/day (with B-vitamins and other things)

Questions:

1) Internet tells me there's interaction between Tretinoin/Clindamycin and Erythromycin. However, the websites never specified if the interaction is with Topical Erythromycin or Oral Erythromycin. Any ideas?

2) Is there any interaction between the Oral Erythromycin and the pills I take?

3) Any recommendations, feedback for my prescription? Should I drop or add anything to my routine (such as dropping my own pills)?

Thanks!
