Your bf/gf touching your skin...

Recommended Posts

kinda alienish? the dolls i mean, big heads, look like supermodels...all head and no body? or maybe just that one that jeanie shows us..

anise, honey get over it. i agree with the post about the ex bfrnd being bothered that he was unable to touch her skin, i can't imagine my ex bf depriving me of that. believe you me, he is not analyzing it, he is not a facialist, just wants some intimacy. in psychology class you learn that facial touching is a nurturing gesture, it's supposed to be one of the ways to show we care...let him show you, at first you will be self concsious, but allow some time and you will get over it and actually be able to enjoy the caring caresses....it's needed to build a healthy bond...hope you try it wub.gif

My bf touching my face is definitely a big no no. He learned that very quickly and understands, but sometimes he forgets and I jump back. It's the one thing I really freak out about. I hate it when my grandmother grabs my cheeks and kisses me, (what can I say--it's a european thing)but she's the only one allowed to do it I don't want to hurt her feelings

I didn't really have a problem with girlfriends and my face. It was one of those things that was never brought up because the conversation would never end well, I guess. Besides, a number of them had skin problems too but covered them with Foundation, so I guess it would've been the pot calling the kettle black.

I juz find it acceptable for guys to have a certain degree of skin imperfections..

You guys shouldn't read too much into it.

It's the girls who worry more about this.

Question: do guys mind if girls don't have flawless skin? or scars? or red marks? or chicken pox marks?

I think it's no. doubt.gif

if you go with it then to touching will release feel good hormones, ones that cause relaxation and comfort..so how can that be bad for your skin?

I just hate it when my b/f touches my skin and his hands r dirty like after he eats or when he is cooking I like freak out I am like don't touch me with ur greasy hands! and we actually were talking about it last night he knows I don't like him touching my face but he still does it anyways eusa_naughty.gif but I told him he can if he hands r clean and he does it in a nice way and I agreeded to stop poking his eyes lol cuz he is always sleepy and closes his eyes so I poke them lightly and he hates it

I hate that too! My skin for the most part is very smooth, despite any pimples... just on my forehead it's a bit bumpy, but it still makes me squirmy when my boyfriend strokes my cheek. I also hate when he gets super close and he's gazing at me, it feels like he can see all my imperfections on my face, so basically my solution for that is when I get squirmy with him touching my face I just gently take his hand away and start kissing him instead lol, and when he's gazing at me, I just look back 'intensely' at him so he gazes more at my eyes and his eyes don't wander off to look at my skin...it's kind of stupid, but it's like I have a phobia of people looking directly at my skin...at least on my face anyway.

i had a talk w/ my bf of a year+ about my skin in the summer, when i started breaking out really badly and just before i started accutane in october. previous to letting him know, he did like to touch my face a bit, including my troublesome cheeks, and usually id just let him. however, during this times, id always cringe internally, half because of the HFTBA (hating-face-touched-by-anything) syndrome, and half because of my insecurities and not wanting him to discover some of the finer details of my less than ideal complexion. however, since we've talked, he's been very good about it, he'll usually only touch my neck/jawline, where ive always, for some reason, been remarkably clear. im still inesecure about my face, especially now with the ups and downs of accutane, however ive actually found huge relief in telling him about my issue w/ the skin, and he's been completely supportive.
