Lavalamp 0 Share Posted November 7, 2004 Is it prefference or is does on actually work better than the other. I have been using nonfoaming dove and cetaphil, but now that I look there are tons of foaming ones too. So which os better or is it purely preference, because I also own a clean and clear foaming face wash with those vitamin bead things.

Polka 5 Share Posted November 9, 2004 i don't think tha tis really such an important factor! I don't think foaming does much. My cetaphil non irritant cleanser is the best out there. It is non soap based and non foaming
K-La 0 Share Posted November 9, 2004 I think a foaming cleanser gets deeper into the skin (or so I've read) so it cleans better than regular formulas. Foaming cleansers are probably good for people with normal skin. Gel cleansers are better for those with oilier skin types and cream formulas (like the rich ones by Dove) are ideal for very dry skin. You could probably still try the foaming one anyway though. I hear they are better in some ways and its worth a shot.
