I've had acne for a long time but only recently have I started getting red marks. It's been about 3 months since I started getting red marks and I really want them to go away. I haven't tried much in terms of particular treatments. What should I try? And how long should it take to make them significantly less noticeable? I mean, I know the expected time if left untreated is like a year. So my question is how long will it take WITH whatever treatment you recommend?post-448710-0-94968500-1423160296_thumb.post-448710-0-94968500-1423160296_thumb.

Ok well it's been 3 months since my first mark, and it's definitely faded a little, but it looks less than halfway gone.

Anyway, my real question is what treatments to use and how much will they speed this up?

Do you have any pictures of the red marks?

Heres a pic of mine, about 6 weeks since the breakout happened..

I use pure rosehip oil for my scars, just massage into the skin twice a day and it should fade within a month. But if you do have sensitive skin, you might want to try it on a spot on your skin just to make sure you will not have any break outs. The Acne.org AHA also works. For more information on scar treatments you may use the ink provided below.

I have the same problem. I never had acne before and all of a sudden, I got over 30 acnes on my face that left nasty red spots behind them. I have been using Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Alpha Beta Peel for about a month and I am very happy with the results so far. I mean I still see the marks clearly but some of them are almost gone and others have faded significantly. I think if I use them for 2 more months, the marks will be completely gone. You may try the 14 day Challenge of Dr. Dennis Peels. If you like them (and I am sure you will), you can get the 30 or even the 60 day treatment. They are a bit expensive but worth the price. I got the 14 day kit for $68 Canadian.

Never do it. Makes your skin super sensitive to the sun, not to mention the burning sensation and huge irritation. I did this about a year ago, NEVER AGAIN.
