So i decided to document my progress with my acne scars for anybody interested. These pictures were taken a week after my first saline subcision. My doctor used a fairly thin hypodermic needle to break apart scar tissue in my cheeks while also injecting a saline solution into the scars to elevate them and lubricate the needle during the procedure. This is my first procedure out of a total of three, with the goal being to elevate the scars by hopefully 50-70 percent.

As of now I'm seeing gradual progress in the scars. In my opinion my smaller scars responded pretty well and i can see that they're a bit smoother and more elevated to the surrounding skin, so i'd say theres about a 10-15 percent increase in volume. The bigger scars havent responded as well; theres little to no noticeable improvement, but my doctor was pretty careful when dealing with these areas as he wasnt sure how i would respond to the subcision. I'll most likely ask him to be more aggressive with these areas next time. Overall i think this was a great first step on my road to better skin; gradual improvement is still better than no improvement.
