I'm a male who just turn 17 and started to get acne in my middle 16s. And I was wondering if you guys have any tips on how to get rid of these red marks after a pimple goes away. This is my current skin care routine *morning- wash my face with the acne.org cleanser, then apply suncreen. *night- use the same cleanser, then for the red marks I cut an aloe vera plant in half and apply it in my face. Here are some pictures of how my acne looks like.
The most important thing, at least from what I understand, is to avoid sunlight at all costs with red scars. Best to cover them up to promote healing. This is something I wish derms would have told me long ago. I have had scars from the same time frame, some covered and some not, with dramatic differences in healing - covered scars obviously healed much more quickly and are basically non existent now.
