I remember my mom buying me Iodine supplement when I was in my teens, and it actually made me break out in painful lumps. I don't remember the dose. I never took a multivitamin before as it'd always made me sick. I started taking gummy vitamins now, and they have 27% Iodine. I couldn't find any that didn't have it. Should I be worried or is that not a high concentration?
I have read and heard to avoid iodine in vitamins or supplements , so yes you are correct.
I guess our bodies don't need much iodine, but for what I have read, people here in the US , with all these campaigns putting salt as a bad example ,some people go to extremes and end up with thyroid problems.
So I guess everything has to be taken in moderation and if you feel that something is causing you breakouts, then avoid it.
