"Gently wash problem areas with your bare hands for 10 seconds or less. This may seem different from what youre used to but do not wash for longer than 10 seconds. Do not use a wash cloth or any other cleansing device, as they are far too irritating compared to bare hands."

"Cleansing is necessary because it removes surface oils. This allows the benzoyl peroxide (Step 2) to penetrate. Washing for this short a period of time reduces irritation."

I'm just wondering. How can I effectively remove the dirt, make up or waterproof sunscreen from my face by washing it for just 10 seconds or less? Any tips? I believe that proper cleansing including make up removal is crucial to achieving acne-free skin.

Try using some jojoba oil to remove any dirt or make-up. I've found that when I am using really longwear foundation or waterproof eye make-up, using some jojoba oil on a cotton pad really does the trick. Plus this doesn't clog my pores or make me break out.
