The person i have "liked" for the past two months is now my girlfriend, All my football coaches think i can make millions longsnapping for the NFL. My musical progression is taking flight really quick, i am no longer tired of picking up my guitar or pen to write. everyone is proud of me, everyone supports me..............but i feel like i cant take it anymore. im not talking suicide, suicide is for failures, ill people, chemical imbalances. (failure as in, wont get out of bed in the morning). i need release, in the past going way back, i used to cut myself but i have vowed not to.............. i have no other form of release. i cant drink, get high, ect. its against who i am. i am going nowhere and probably talking to myself!

HOW CAN I RELEASE MYSELF FROM ALL OF MY "PAIN"

I'm not Catholic, Christian etc...

I'm a Buddhist, who really doesn't know much about my religion.

I don't know who I'm praying to sometimes.

But I pray anyways.

It makes some of the hurt go away.

*exercise of some sort

*meditation practice

*read up on depression or addictions (if you can find something specific on cutting maybe, since you've already had compulsions towards that there will likely be something to suggest as alternatives that might help), maybe books on self-esteem or whatever type of underlying issues you're dealing with...

I'm a big "self-help" reader...there's so much valuable information out there and different perspectives and what not. I've had many a day of not being able to drag my ass out of bed, depression issues, panic and anxiety issues...addiction issues...ugh. Reading has helped me more than I can say.

OR, what about seeing a therapist or something? A lot of times you can find ones that work on sliding fee scales if insurance/money is an issue for you.

I agree with broken cocoon, self help books are a great way of overcoming mental obstacles in your life.

You seem like you've got almost everything going for you, pull through it pal.
