New Research: Antibiotics, Food Allergies, And Gut Flora

Recommended Posts

Another reason behind increasing food allergies: imbalanced gut flora and lack of good bacteria to help with proper digestion of food. Of course, we here on this forum already know all this, but now there's scientific research to verify these connections.

This particular study (link below) suggests that the good bacteria that antibiotics kill, such as clostridia, can act as a barrier between the allergen and the bloodstream and therefore prevent allergic/ histamine reactions.

A lot of people on acne.org poppin' antibiotics like candy should really pay attention to this. But I'm sure I'll get attacked if I post it on the prescriptions forum, so here it is.
