Spironolactone: So Frustrating And Depressing! 🙁

Hi...

I am 42 years old and was prescribed 100 mg of Spironolactone 3 1/2 months ago by my Endrocrinologist after finding out my Testosterone levels were high. I was suffering with horrible cystic and regular acne on my cheeks, chin, neck and back.

I was very hopeful that I would be seeing results by now. Just when I think my face is getting better, I break out in 4 or 5 cystic bumps, plus small pimples all over my face!

If anyone has any info on what's going on, or words of encouragement, I would appreciate it. I absolutely hate looking in the mirror anymore.

Thanks in advance!

A lot of those Spironolactone reviews say it can take up to 6-8 months to see results, just so ya know. But...why isn't your doctor getting to the bottom of WHY your testosterone is high? There could be many different reasons.

Thanks for the reply... I guess I just have to be patient.
The Endocrinologist said that a lot of women my age have higher testosterone levels. I just had an ultrasound to rule out a tumor on my adrenal gland.
