Cystic Pimple: Lifecycle?

For the first time, I am able to track the lifecycle of a cystic pimple.

After popping a pustule (which may have been a boil or absess), I got 3 more.

2 could be removed by a facialist as they were kind of flat and full of pus already.

But one is a blind, cystic kind of raised monster. Here is how it progresses:

Day 1 - Clear:

Sunday Morning: Popped what appeared to be a pustule but may have been a boil. Disinfected with rubbing alcohol.

Sunday afternoon: Pustule (boil) refilled with pus. Popped again and disinfected with rubbing alcohol.

Day 2 - Breakout:

Monday morning: Nothing on skin, except the mark from popped pimple.

Monday afternoon: Sudden appearance of 2 new pimples. One right above and one right under the popped area.

Monday evening: Sudden ppearance of a large reddish area with a raise area in the middle, on the same cheek as the rest.

Monday evening: Fearing a staph infection, immediate treatment with betadine.

At this point, nothing painful.

Day 3 - Full blown:

Tuesday morning: Pimple above and under are filled with puss (but not raised, surprisingly). 1 is painful, the other one not.

Tuesday morning: Large red area still present and a pimple starts to grow in the middle of it. Cyst?

Tuesday evening: Large red area still present and pimple inside grows bigger, but with no pus or white head in sight.

Tuesday evening: Wash with betadine soap to get rid of whatever bacteria is on my skin.

At this point, cyst is not painful.

Day 4 - Visit to facialist:

Wednesday morning: Skin is in bad condition with the 3 pimples looking angry/infected. The cyst starts to hurt for the first time.

Wednesday morning: Facialist cleanses my skin and removes 2 pimples (the ones with pus). Red mark left behind. The cystic pimple could not be removed: It is too deep under the skin to be pushed out. It continues to hurt. She advises a skin care line.

Day 5 - Cyst is visible, but not painful anymore:

Thursday morning: The 2 pimple removed by the facialist are disinfected. Only red marks left behind but will go in time.

Thursday morning: Cystic pimple still is very visible and raised. But it stopped being painful. Is the bacteria inside dead?

Hope someone can relate and give some pointers.

Especially curious as to why the cyst stopped hurting. Does it mean the bacteria inside of it died, and it will start to go down?

Normally, yes, it should start going down.

Just don't touch it or irritate it in any way and it should be gone in a few days :)

However...the red mark might be there for quite some time :/

I am trying. I hope the inflammation goes down.

It's really raised. Not sure why.

Keeping it moist to make sure the area does not get dry.

Not sure I should. I might be feeding whatever is in there.

What do you think?

Hmm..

Do you see any pus in it...?

You can always put a Benzoyl Peroxide spot treatment on it, I guess...

I'm not too sure about keeping the cystic acne moist. Pimples tend to go away when the area has dried up.

Sorry I can't help too much >__<

My biggest suggestion is a spot treatment containing Benzoyl Peroxide. It's an ingredient that kills bacteria inside pimples :)

I cannot see any pus in it, unfortunately. Swelling seems to go down and it's not that reddish anymore. Worried about putting duac on it and irritating the whole area. Those cysts/nodules are terrible. Especially when you just have a single big one on your face....
