Help Me Fix My Scars (Pictures)

I want to know what my best options for clearing these scars and redness are. Whether it be over the counter or at a clinic, I want to know what will be most suitable and effective for me. I'd also like to know how likely I am to be able to rectify the damage that is already done - is it likely I'll ever have pretty clear skin?

Mostly my skin is red and brown now, which bothers me the most as it shows up in photographs really bad!

I am considering going to a clinic like sk:n because I want to see results. I'm not sure what is best though.

Thank you!

scars? I don't see any scars except some enlarged pores on the area next to your nose. Your skin is pretty fabulous for a guy.

But hey, it's all relative.

Your small scars and pigmentation are very superficial and shallow which rules out any major and serious acne scars treatment like lasers and various kinds of surgical methods (ie. dermabrasion, subcision, grafting). Whatever you do, don't do laser! Because the risk of damage vs your existing (read: minimal) acne scars = just not worth it, because you might end up with more prominent marks from the laser itself than existing marks. Which in more severe cases is fine because then skin benefits on a large scale and the damage the procedure cause is justifiable contra the scars it reduces.

So even though I might not give you the best advice on how to get ride of these scars, I pray that you stay away from lasers and tca peels.

I wish you luck!

They are very superficial! I would go with soft treatments, tho you pretty much have nothing! Try some microdermabrasions ;)

Hi guys.

Thanks for all your replies, I really appreciate them all! By superficial I take it some of you mean minor/hard to see? Is it possible that with the right regimen my skin can be almost completely clear? It is not so much the bumpiness of my skin that bothers me, it is the discolouration etc. I would like to have an even skin tone. And I want it to be as smooth as possible too.

Are their specific products you guys would suggest that has hydroquinone/AHA's - I don't really know much about these kinds of things. Also, is there anything I really need to be doing? I've read a lot about moisturising and using sun cream. And lemon juice fades dark marks too but you have to be careful?

There is just too much information out there!

What are you 18? You don't have any major problems. Let yourself mature a little bit and see how you feel then.

Dude your skin is amazing - I would die to have skin like yours again. But honestly just eat healthy, exercise moderately and your skin will become healthier.

Hello!

Google IPL Photo facial!

I'm not sure where you are from or your budget but I've been researching IPL and it seems like a good option. It's generally used for broken capillaries, hyper-pigmentation and mild sun damage! (It is not a laser.) Like you I don't really have problem skin but more so OCD. I have several broken capillaries from BHA/AHA damage and several red marks that won't fade.

I will not be getting an IPL "Photo facial" until Christmas because they're quite expensive for 1 session at most clinics that offer them. I will make a post regarding the outcome.

And I agree with other commenters that you shouldn't do anything like dermarolling or lasering.

Good luck!
