Hi i've stopped taking antibiotics for about 5 days and my acne is still the same. I'm going to start taking them again but could the antibiotic resistance build up in the time that I've stopped taking the antibiotics?

Thank you very much and good luck

If I start taking my antibiotics after stopping them for about a week is it possible that antibiotic resistance has developed? Thank you very much

Yes. Easily. Thing is, your skin is going to build up a resistance and immunity to it eventually. I took mino and my skin was AMAZINGly clear for the first time in like, ever. I stopped using it for about a week. Then I went back on it. All in all, I maybe was on it maybe a couple months. It has no effect on me now. At least not at that prescription.

You should always finish a complete course of oral AB's without stopping.

Stoping and starting makes Bacteria more resistant.
