Hello,

Firstly let me just say that my acne is moderate to severe, I have tried everything... From highstreet brand, to yesto natural range, to high end products.. Without exaggerating. Easily thousands of over the years. I decided to try one more range before giving up and going to a dermatologist,, this being la roche-posay effaclar. The duo+ and purifying wash.

After using it for a few days, all the red marks started purging.. Look horrid but it isn't the cheapest so I thought ah hell, I'll just carry on with it.

Week later, purging stopped.. The wash kept the new spots at bay.

2 weeks.. Red marks I've had for months! Have finally faded, few days away from vanishing.

I personally think it needs a few more weeks so I'll update you guys. It's worth looking into purchasing if you've tried everything else, it's nice for sensitive skin, it doesn't clog purse either.

Good luck guys.

- Thanks to scco for the recommendation!

Duo plus doesn't contain SLS as far as I can see. Are you talking about the washgel?

La roche-posay products are non-comedogenic, plus the duo+ specifically unclogs pores

I checked and the facewash does indeed contain SLS, which may irritate your skin. However since it's tested by dermatologists I wouldn't worry about it. I tried the facewash for a while and it made my skin very dry but that's all, no clogged pores, no irritation.

I have an oily face so it's fine for me :) plus I use a tiny bit of the effaclar mat moisturiser afterwards.
