Duac: Post 12 Weeks

Recommended Posts

Im new to this forum, and I believe this would be my first post :)

I had been suffering from moderate acne consistently for the past 4 years , since I was around 12 years old.

Around three months ago, I had decided I needed to take control of my persistent acne and saw a doctor. The doctor prescribed me the topical cream 'Duac: Once Daily gel' - and I must say that it has worked wonders on my skin and acne. My face is mostly cleared up and I have seemed to stop getting those annoying breakouts every 2 weeks.

Now here's the question, on the leaflet it says that I'm not supposed to take this cream more than 12 weeks, I'd assume to avoid resistance to the antibiotic.

Now that the 12 weeks have passed, do I just stop taking duac altogether or do I need to wait for a specific period of time before I can start another course of 12 weeks?

My biggest fear would be my acne returning back with its full force now that I've stopped taking this cream.

Thanks in advance

-Sammas ( first post: done :D )
