Hi there

I am off on holiday in June and looking for a high spf facial sunscreen that is moisturising but wont break me out. I was ideally looking for something about spf 50, my daily moisturiser has spf 30, but would like that extra protection while I am away. I have heard good things about zinc oxide in sunscreen although most reviews of those say they leave a white cast on your face, which I'm not too keen on either. Any recommendations would be great :)

i like olay regenerist regenerating lotion with spf 50. it doesnt make my face look white or break me out at all. the regenerist line is one of my favorites by them.

My favorite is Shisedo Urban Enviroment Oil-Free UV Protector. It has an SPF of 42 (sorry its lower than you wanted!) But is super light feeling, goes on smooth and sinks right into the skin, non-greasy or oily and feels like you are almost not wearing anything! I love it and wear it on a daily basis.

Shisedo also does a 50+ called Ultimate Sun Protection Cream+ (for face only) and Lotion+ (for face and body) this one is really good as well but is not oil-free and is thicker. I used to use this during the summer because i wanted a lot of protection but I am one of those people that hate the way sunblock feels and this feels like sunblock.

Hope these options help!

Thanks for these :)..I already have the regenerist spf 30, it's a little bit heavy for everyday use for me just now. Going to check out those shisheido ones just now :) spf 42 would still be fine for me, just looking for that little big extra.

Thanks again guys!

Sun screen protection is recommended especially during summer to prevent skin cancer. One of the few that I know is to apply lotion and moisturizers with SPF 50 or SPF 30 respectively. This SPF is a measure to prevent UVB from damaging our skin.

Mineral Fusion has a 40 spf liquid sunscreen and a 30 spf brush on powder sunscreen (spf 30) that is great for touch ups. Both are free of pore clogging ingredients.
