Hi guys,
Basically, I've tried everything and nothing has cleared up my acne. The closest I got to a clear face was last summer when I went to the doctors and was prescribed Dalacin T Topical Lotion for around a month and my skin was as clear as ever for the first time in around 10 years.
Then, it stopped working and I had the worst breakouts ever - loads of them.
The doctor then put me on oral antibiotics for three or four months and nothing happened. Since then I've tried various washes, creams, diet changes and natural acne solution tablets but nothing has helped.
What should I do next?
Dalacin T Topical Lotion worked the best - does that give any clues to what could be causing my acne and how I can prevent it?
I don't want to go onto Accutane or another course of tablets with severe side effects.
I'm in the UK. Is it worth seeking out a specialist rather than a regular doctor who doesn't have much knowledge of acne?
I'm a 24-year-old male.

Sorry bud, but if you want it gone, go on accutane, only drug that will fix it long-term. Ive been on it for 3 months now and i've had no side effects except dry skin and chapped lips and i've had no new acne on my face or back!. I'm 21 so you are in the same boat as me

your in same situation as me, ive tried all different prescription gels and antibiotics, nothing. Recently got a referral to see a dermatologist, ive wasted too much time on useless treatments, im asking for acctuane.
I've been thinking about Accutane but there seems to be a lot of side-effects.
