Has Anyone Had V Beam Before?

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Has anyone had V beam treatment before and if so what their experience was with it. I'm looking to get it to reduce redness on cheeks left from acne I had from a few years ago. Never seem to go away. (I've attached some pics of my skin)

I saw a cosmetic doctor last month and he advised me that V beam would be the best treatment and that there would be no downtime (maybe slight redness for a few hours at max) and that it would be possible to go into work the next day.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah ive had it done. Not for acne or rosacea but i had some odd spot that I've had my whole life zapped off on my forehead. The beam has settings like high and low. The high was used on the spot because it was more difficult to get rid of. Depending on the setting it could feel like someones pricking your face really quickly. This prob won't happen to you, but because my mark was difficult to remove the beam had to be on a high setting and it left a purple mark on my forehead- took about two full weeks to disappear but after it faded the red mark that i had wasn't in site. But overall it was a good experience.

If it's done on low setting, does that mean you wont be left with any purple marks on your face? I dont't really want any downtime!

yours it prob going to be done on a low setting. Your marks are not bad at a llll. the area may be red for a day or too (nothing purple). But its so important that you stay out of the sun - if you have to spend an hour outside than apply sunscreen. They individual who will be doing this should give you a paper with information on how to care for your skin post treatment.

when you say red does that mean that it will turn noticeably red? I want to be able to have very minimal downtime and be able to turn up to work the next day/or day after that.

Your skin looks great and I'm not just saying that. What I've notice more now that I am conscious of red marks is how many people have some redness in their face, I think it's just normal. I hope the v beam give you what you are looking for, I don't know very much about it, but from someone who is also conscious of their marks I just thought I would let you know my impression of your skin and that is that it really does look good, your have a really nice complexion.

Thanks for your kind words gkitten! I had my first v beam today and it was great. No pain and no downtime. Will be returning back to the clinic monthly for my treatments hoping to get some good results!
