I am in San Francisco as well and was prescribed accutane twice from Kaiser. But I think you can only go to kaiser if your insurance is with kaiser. You can check yelp for other dermatologists and read what other people were on accutane and what their experiences were. I didn't have a good experience (you can read my review) and got a lot clearer with an esthetician who does holistic treatment (Acqua e Sapone Aesthetics is the name), you can find that on yelp as well.
