Can I Scrub In The 2Nd Week Of The Regimen?

So I've just started my second week and everything goes pretty much as expected, however in some parts my skin is peeling off and it becomes so obvious and hard to put my makeup on properly. Can I use some gentle scrub? Before regimen I used Olay everyday scrub and it was just fine for my skin... can I use this one let's say 2-3 times a week? Or is it better not to scrub at all for the first month on the treatment?

p.s. btw is it normal that my face is still itchy (especially on the neck and the chin) in the 2nd week?

Thanks ))

Dan does not recommend scrubs at all due to the irritation they tend to cause. Irritation may exacerbate acne. Here are some tips for dry flaky skin. http://www.acne.org/faq.html#dry

Itchiness is fairly common too in the beginning. Please read here: http://www.acne.org/faq.html#itch

No scrubbing. Use a chemical exfoliant such as glycolic acid. Dan has his own AHA which is 10% or you can buy Alpha Hydrox which I was recently recommended. Started using it today! :D

Would you say its safe for me to try AHA or another chemical exfoliator on my 2nd week of treatment? Dan advises to wait for at lest 3-4 weeks...

It is recommended that you wait until at least a month before you use the AHA. If your skin is really dry you could try the jojoba oil. either mix some with your moisturizer or just apply it straight on your face in the areas that it are super dry.

The dryness does go away in time you just don't want to make it worse by using a scrub.
