I'm thinking of having my second Fraxel: Repair done sometime this year hopefully. Does anyone know of a highly recommended doctor in Texas? Or had great results themselves with a Texas doctor? I'm particularly looking for someone who would be willing to use a moderate to higher setting to achieve better than average results. I would really appreciate any information. Thank you.

Several people on this board have had good results after multiple laser treatments.

Yes, it is well known now that swelling causes the results to appear much better than they are shortly after treatment. However, multiple treatments are necessary for solid results regardless of what you do. Dudley is a big advocate for Fraxel Repair, and he has seen significant improvement after 3 or 4 treatments (I forget exactly how many.)
I had the Fraxel Repair done once and I noticed only small improvements. It wasn't done at a higher setting so I still think it could achieve much better results if it was done at a more intense level. With my scarring, which I guess would be in the moderate range, I think I could get more noticeable results with one or two treatments at the higher setting.
I glad to hear that, good luck betterliving! I hope you achieve your goal but please beware it might be dangerous. I've heard bad things about fraxel, most of all Fraxel's highest settings. I'm not a specialist, I'm only saying you should be careful and self conscious.
What is the type of your scars? Are they severe? Moderate?
Have you done any research on Fraxel?
I hope it helps,
Shelbyville

What kind of Fraxel are you talking about? The ablative kind or the non-ablative kind?
Edit: Here are the different kinds http://www.fraxel.com/consumer/what-to-expect/faq
I don't remember the exact setting the doctor used, but I do remember it was a low setting. It was lower than the setting that Dudley from this board had when he underwent the procedure multiple times. He's talked a lot about his setting being the optimal level, in his experience, for noticeable improvement.
I know of realself, but I don't see that many Fraxel reviews of Texas doctors.

Yeah, that would be why. You need to have more treatments with lower settings, of course. I'm guessing you'd need at least 2 more to notice improvement.
