when i took antibiotics(oral and topical) they lasted 1year after i stopped them. actually 1,5years. if i'm not mistaken, accutane usually lasts 1,5y also (if it's not a complete success).

but why do i get the feeling bp lasts 1week at best?

you see i'm trying to get rid of my backne, mostly by holistic way, but my backne is more than mild so it needs a little push, an acceleration, something to regress the bacteria down 'cause it's way out of balance > an antibiotic. after the bacteria balancing (i plan to use it until i'm 100% clear, and a few more months after that ..to be sure), the holistic stuff should be enough. but i don't want to use antibiotics (for obvious gut flora/liver reasons). does benzoil peroxide actually completely kills bacteria like an antibiotic? (the relapse time would be the proof i assume).
