tetracycline class antibiotics..

Does anyone here know if there are any particular differences between oxytetraycline, doxycycline and minocycline? I've been on oxy and doxy and all I've noticed is that I get less pustules on oxytetracycline (although this could be due to the differin). When I saw one of the heads of dermatology at my local hospital she said she wouldnt have prescribed doxy for acne as a first choice, which I thought was strange as my doctor had been putting me on and off doxy for a few years and had never metioned any of the other tetracyclines available. They're all prescribed in different strengths, but basically they do the same thing right? Kill bacteria and reduce inflammation? Are there any major differences between them?
